Bay of Fundy Business For Sale
Do you have a dream of owning your very own bed and breakfast?
After 32 years of operating Florentine Manor Heritage B&B it is time to pass it over to a younger generation with new life and bold new ideas.
It isn’t easy but necessary that I retire from the B&B business after twenty eight years of making guests feel at home. It truly has been a “dream come true” for me. As a child growing up across the street I had always wanted to own this house and fix it up and invite people to come and visit. In 1976 we did buy this property and in August 1979 we moved in with our family.
After a career change in 1982 I opened my B&B in 1983 with three guest rooms. We now have nine guest rooms plus one for ourselves. Our Canada Select star rating is 4 ½ stars in the B&B category.
Being centrally located to Hopewell Cape Rocks, Fundy National Park, Mary’s Point Shorebird Reserve and Shipyard Park near one of the marine wonders of the world, the Bay of Fundy makes our property a prime location to do business.
We are on the Fundy Coastal Drive, and are part of the nearly completed Fundy Trail Parkway route. We lie within the UNESCO Fundy Biosphere Reserve.
The property is located on + or – seven acres with a spring fed water supply. There is the large Victorian house (5095 square feet) with ten bedrooms, eleven and one half bathrooms, a large living room and the dining room seats 24 persons. The laundry is located upstairs on the second floor. An office (10’x15’) was added about 20 years ago. We also have our own septic system.
The carriage house (36’x25’) makes a large storage area and there is a large well insulated heated work shop (20’x20’) in the upstairs. There is also a small shed at the back of the house and the old outhouse stands silent in the wild rose bushes under the oak tree.
If you are interested in finding out more about a very well established business, in a fascinating location on the Bay of Fundy, I would be happy to answer any questions you might have.
